Passengers using the Fredericton International Airport will now have more refreshment options after going through security.
A new food service kiosk recently opened in the secured departures lounge on November 9th.
“This kiosk provides an alternative to the typical food fare found in the vending machines located in the lounge,” said Melodie Beal, Public Relations and Marketing Manager for the Fredericton International Airport Authority.
The kiosk, operated by The Chef Group, offers similar menu items as found at the airport restaurant in the main terminal, such as assorted fruits, snacks, muffins, coffee/tea, and other beverages.
“We expect this service to reduce security wait times,” said Beal. “It should also reduce some of the pre-security congestion in the restaurant and corridor.”
The Airport Authority recently announced its plan to expand the air terminal building to better accommodate current and forecasted passenger growth. The Fredericton International Airport is an important economic component for the capital city region.
